As a fan of the book since I was a child (I read the library copy dog-eared, and have my own copy now), can I just say that you've done an outstanding job re-creating one of the creepiest toys ever. Well done!
Thanks Fred A. It probably took way longer than necessary as I had never sewn anything before in my life (someone had to explain to me the proper way to thread a needle... yes, you read that correctly.)
Hi! I know this is a long shot, but I'm trying to get the Patchwork Monkey made as a 60th bday gift for my mom, who grew up with this book and used to read it to me and my brothers as kids. I haven't had much luck searching for anyone to custom make it so I thought I would see if I could either commission you or if you happened to have the pattern on hand to make. Thanks!
Sorry hmbwc6, while I had, at some point, brief aspirations of possibly cranking these out for resale, this ended up being a one-off project that was too much of a time sink to ever attempt twice. Maybe someone who actually has rudimentary sewing skills will see this post and take up the torch. I'd love to buy a back-up Patches doll from someone other than me! good luck
