House On Haunted Hill Puzzle (Springbok, 1973)
This jigsaw puzzle, "House On Haunted Hill" (Springbok, 1973, no relation to the William Castle movie) strikes just the right balance of horror and humor. I remember, as a child, being slightly confused by the title... So the house itself isn't haunted, just the hill that it was built on?
Take your time and explore...there's plenty of things to see.
An incredible melting man, or perhaps some haunted bacon grease?
That third gargoyle is freaking me out...
This tea party doesn't seem too out of the ordinary...
...but this circus sideshow lady is definitely not your typical haunted house spook!
A scorpion, a centipede, and a....sea urchin?
Better just stay out of the garden.
What the? These random cute characters must have crossed over from another puzzle.

Oh my gosh--what a flood of memories *this* brings back! I spent countless rainy Saturdays assembling and disassembling this puzzle and poring over all the details with delight. Thanks for sharing these images--you've made my day :)
Glad to have made your day, Tenebrous Kate!
I looooved this puzzle. I came across this page by actually searching for that exact puzzle. I want to find one for sale because I can't find my original one. The details are just great, I remember finding something new every time I put it together. Springbox puzzles are the best.
I just picked this puzzle back up on ebay last week. I remember making his puzzle at least 100 times. It was one of my favorite things when I was younger (ok, it still is!)
Still have this puzzle. It's missing a piece or two now, n\but I still love it. It reminds me of the Addams Family. Just the right balance of scary and humorous.
Thanks so much for posting this - I'd completely forgotten this puzzle, which I must have spent 50 or more hours simply staring at as a kid. It inspired me to make dozens of knock-off drawings.
Thank you! I used to put this puzzle together all the time when I was a kid, and then later when my little sister was growing up. Wow. It's one of those things where you feel like you're the only kid in America playing with a particular toy, but thousands of other kids had it too, obviously.
Can't believe I ran across this while working on a crafts project for school. I'm a Halloween nut, and this was a puzzle my sister had when we were kids. I must have done it about 20 times. Can't find on ebay - does anyone have a copy for sale?!?
This was my favorite puzzle when I was a kid. It belonged to my older sister. I enjoyed showing it to my kids. Thanks for posting it on the site.
I just came across a mint condition one of these at an estate sale. It is sealed in wrapping. I would be willing to part with it if the price was right.
Would love to have several of this particular puzzle; was a favorite of my kids and would love to share it with grandchildren from several families.
I loved this puzzle as a kid. It was my favorite. I would spend hours doing this puzzle. Then my mom bought my brother the same one, except it was cut differently and we got the pieces mixed up so it became very hard to do both puzzles.
I wish I could find a house like this oen to buy.
Thank you
Does anybody have this puzzle for sale?
I just posted this for sale on eBay.
